What do we sacrifice in our pursuit of happiness? How do our relationships fare when pitted against our ambitions? These questions are the core of Wax Wings, a three-part project that reframes the myth of Icarus and Daedalus through the lens of their father-son dynamic. Across a visual development sequence, mixed media, sculpture, and transcendental landscape, this interconnected project mediates on aspiration, sacrifice, and the interpersonal costs of pursuing the sublime.
