The Ghost of You (2021)
I've always had a difficult relationship with art. When I show my art, I feel as though I'm under a microscope, and each person can see my trials and tribulations in creating my work. It feels very personal and invasive. Though this feelig is what kept me from art for most of my life, it is ultimately what helped me grow to love it. For me, art is useless if it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. Art allows us to show what we are too fearful to say, to feel what we wish not to feel. Art is embarrassing, for both the creator and viewer. Through this mutual discomfort, we connect.
