My work explores the intricate relationship
between sweetness and desire in human nature.
Sweetness, often associated with happiness,
serves as a metaphor for the various desires that
propel our actions. From a young age, we are
drawn to sweetness, much like how we pursue our
desires with fervor. However, beneath the surface
lies a complex interplay of emotions, where the
pursuit of happiness may lead to emptiness and
uncertainty.
Through my art, I aim to provoke introspection
into the nature of desire and its consequences.
The juxtaposition of sweetness with the aftermath
of indulgence serves as a metaphor for the
fleeting nature of joy and the lingering effects of
desire. By examining our relationship with
sweetness, both literal and metaphorical, my work
invites viewers to contemplate the complexities of
human desire and the pursuit of happiness.
