Charlotte Cambor
I use oil and acrylic paint, watercolor, printmaking, and collage as my primary mediums to create works that are representational with a mind of abstraction.
Driven by curiosity for connectedness, my work investigates patterns and synchronicities in the universe and questions how they came to be.
By distorting and abstracting common geometries and natural phenomena, I seek to tune in to a higher frequency in which the apparent chaos of nature reveals a sense of order, creating moments of both oneness and awe.
Humans can arrange ourselves and the world around us in grids—meanwhile nature designs itself with splendid yet incomprehensible tact.
When we see these opposing forces int he same plane of existence—and how they interact—we are confronted with the paradoxical construction of our reality, and the discreteness of the two worlds that constitute it.
