Artie Throop

Artie Throop

I take arts and crafts seriously and sillily. Through laborious (but not onerous) processes like weaving, I explore how materiality holds memories, emotions, and self, and what it means to care for my stuff. Sometimes functional, sometimes sleazy fabrics pinned to a wall–my textiles are meant to be touched, used, and repaired.
