Darra Keeton joined the department in 1993, as a visiting lecturer and artist-in-residence, and was promoted to assistant professor in 1994. Darra quickly became on the of the most engaging, talented, and beloved teachers in our department’s history. In honor of Darra Keeton, who retired in 2012, the department established the Keeton Prize in Painting and Drawing.
